The bottom part of picture is black on purpose. Those are the hills in the back of the photo because I wanted to make it look like the flower was growing from the earth and reaching for the Sun.

Taken in Serbia, Kladovo.

I love the hills in the background, it really creates the perfect contrast to the tan, solid sky. Lining it up perfectly with the sun was genius of course, and it's pretty cool that the only thing in focus is the very center of the flower, but at the same time with this being the only thing in focus, be mindful that the photo might give less for the eye to focus on. The bud to the left puts the photo perfectly off-balance. It keeps the eye moving, and also keeps the photo from looking plain.
All in all, an awesome shot :D great work
